Chapter 3: Using Your Time Wisely

Excerpts

Live in the present.  Do not fret about the past or the future.  You can do nothing about either one.

What you learn is in many ways based on how you choose to spend your time.

Stay focused on your end goal.  Do not be upset or derailed by life's daily frustrations, for they all represent learning experiences to help you grow and become a better person.

You can achieve great things in your own special ways by caring for a sick or dying friend, helping a child to learn, or opening a door for a stranger.

One good act inspires another, and with this comes a chain reaction that inspires good throughout the world.

Do not be afraid to try an act of kindness.  I tell you, it takes more courage to show kindness than anger.  Anger is easy, thoughtless, and selfish.  Its purpose is to drag us down.  It quickly can consume you and those around you.

Choosing the path of kindness leads you toward the Light.  It gives you many opportunities to do things for other people.

Help a friend, be kind to your neighbor, and resist the temptation toward anger.

Hold on to the belief that the world can be a better place and that it starts with you.

Challenge yourself daily to commit one selfless act for another person.

The gifts you give will be returned to you many times over in a happy and fruitful life.
